Research Areas
My career has spanned hardware, software and systems engineering. I currently am a Senior Systems Engineer focused on Model-Based Systems Engineering and Digital Transformation. Sustainability and sustainable development are key considerations informing my practice. I also have spent much time mentoring others in tools like MagicDraw and languages such as Systems Modeling Language.
My research areas of interest include:
- Network Management
- Provisioning Multilayer Recovery
- Cybersecurity and Zero Trust Architectures
- Sustainable Development
- Requirements Development and Management
My research interests include developing security requirements and architectures for large-scale systems and developing enterprise data strategies. I am also interested in learning to design systems that are sustainable and address common societal values.
Architecture Development
I have been researching how to align and integrate multiple architectures that are expressed using modeling languages like the Unified Architecture Framework. A key enabler of system of systems architectures is leveraging the digital thread construct to integrate problem-focused content from multiple architectures.
Digital Engineering
I am interested in establishing tool environments that align analysis tools with modeling languages.
Mission Engineering
My research seeks to establish architecture development methodologies. A key task for maturing architecture development is to enable mission analysis to inform digital and mission threads.
